The Jewish Community Federation of Richmond's Maimonides Society strives to strengthen our local medical community and our Jewish community through education, volunteerism, and philanthropy by Honoring Maimonides’ legacy of linking the values and teachings of Judaism with the practice of medicine.

The Maimonides Society seeks to encourage and strengthen the sense of community among its members through social and educational events throughout the year.

Named for Rabbi Moses ben Maimon (also known as the Rambam) the Jewish Community Federation of Richmond's Maimonides Society is the place for physicians, surgeons, dentists and other healthcare professionals dedicated to healing the sick and committed to the notion of tikkun olam (repairing the world).

This dynamic group participates in a wide range of activities, including networking and socializing, educational opportunities, volunteerism and Jewish communal involvement. Also offered are cooperative medical and health programs with Israeli professionals, and philanthropic projects with Jewish and other communities around the globe.
