RCJE Offers Subsidies to Area Teachers

Due to a generous grant made by the Jewish Community Federation of Richmond (JCFR), the Richmond Council of Jewish Educators (RCJE) is able to offer subsidies to Richmond's Jewish educators for professional and educational development opportunities.  These subsidies can be used for professional development opportunities ranging from national conferences to locally offered programs and courses, including the Jewish Learning Institute and the Florence Melton Adult Mini School.  The RCJE provides these funds to Richmond's Jewish educators because it recognizes the importance of professional development for area teachers.

In previous years, subsidies have been awarded to religious school teachers from across the greater Richmond area, including Congregations Beth Ahabah, Brith Achim  (in Petersburg), Or Ami, Or Atid, Temple Beth El, and even Temple Beth Sholom in Fredericksburg.  Subsidies have also been awarded to teachers from Rudlin Torah Academy and the Weinstein JCC.

If you are currently employed as an educator at a Jewish educational institution recognized by the RCJE, you are eligible for a subsidy! Contact your Education Director for more information.
