Economy Limiting Efforts to Help Jews in Need; Outcome of Campaign Uncertain
Our community is facing a time of economic crisis that is causing uncertainty regarding the final outcome of our 2009 UJA Jewish Welfare Fund Campaign and limiting our ability to help people in need. Through our Annual UJA Jewish Welfare Fund Campaign, we feed the hungry, care for the vulnerable and inspire Jewish life everyday and everywhere. People depend on the funds we raise annually to sustain them in times of prosperity and help them survive in times of trouble. This year, the challenging economy is having a detrimental effect on our ability to help in hard times.
